rules of behavior, beliefs, rituals, customs, festivals, folklore, technologies for the manufacture of folk arts and crafts, musical instruments, household items and folk art canons, implemented in historically established plots, images, stylistics of their embodiment, contributing to respect for cultural diversity in the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The intangible cultural heritage of the Republic of Bashkortostan, being the most important component of the national culture, the basis of national identity, contributes to the formation of tolerance, strengthens the spiritual connection between generations and eras, plays a key role in the formation of our culture. Traditional folk culture serves as a reliable foundation for the improvement and enrichment of the socio-cultural environment, the basis of historical and patriotic education, all-round creative development of the younger generation and the basis for solving the problems of rooting the population.
The bulk of the intangible heritage is undocumented, and the available materials usually exist as fragments of printed information, or in photographs, or as video and audio resources without any documentation or classification.

In 1998, UNESCO adopted the Program "Proclamation masterpieces of the oral and intangible
cultural heritage of mankind ".
